KICLDC has now made a donation of $1,000 to the Calgary Counselling Centre and $1,000 to Heritage Park. These donations are possible due to our large membership and our Performance Team who volunteer at daily events throughout 2019 Calgary Stampede. Thanks to our Instructors, members and volunteers who make this all possible.
As President of KICLDC I am delighted to announce that today we have donated $1,000 in support of the Veterans Association Food Bank. KIC is able to make such a generous donation due to our very low session fee plus the nominal fee we charge to perform/entertain as well as the volunteerism of our members. It's a privilege to belong to such a generous Club along with our excellent four Instructors and of course we couldn't do it without the enthusiasm of our members.
At this time we have started a Waiting List for anyone interested in these classes. As we get closer to the first class of May 27th we sometimes have cancellations. If you are interested, then please email our Club and your name will be added. If there are any openings we will contact you as soon as possible.
Another option is to join our Club for our Fall Session which starts Wednesday, September 11th, 2019. We do put a cap on our registration and priority is given to our current members, then our recent Stampede tune-up members and then to those who have pre-registered. If you wish to pre-register for our Fall Session to have your name added to our Waiting list, then please email us.
Any questions, please contact Carolyn McKay at firstname.lastname@example.org

KICLDC has received thank you's from our recent donations of $500 each to Meals on Wheels and Brown Bagging for Calgary's Kids. Take a moment to look at the two attachments to appreciate how much these two donations mean to these two wonderful organizations. The note from the Calgary Kids came in a very small brown lunch bag that was coloured by one of the children. Warms your heart. ♥ ♥

KIC has received a thank you from Chiropractor Dr. Tom Kelly for the donation of over 370 pairs of socks for their Sock Drive from all of our KIC members and MidSun Community line dancers. Terrific job everyone.
Keepin’ It Country Line Dancing Club (KICLDC) has made a donation of $500 each to Brown Bagging It For Calgary’s Kids and Meals on Wheels.
The Executive passed a motion to make these two donations at our September meeting and felt these two organizations represented our children and seniors of Calgary. According to Brown Bagging It For Calgary’s Kids, there are approximately 4,200 kids in Calgary who go to school without the food they need. Our gift will help provide energy for some children to run and play, to focus and listen, to learn and make friends. This gift will allow a child to live up to their potential by changing their day and help change their life. The principal clients for Meals on Wheels are seniors but there are also programs open to all Calgarians who are in need of a meal service to maintain independence in their own homes. Food is a basic need, a life necessity. What we eat or don’t eat affects our mental, emotional and physical well-being. More than 463,000 meals are delivered every year.
KICLDC is proud to support these two organizations. We couldn’t do it without our registered members and volunteers so a BIG thank you to each and everyone one of you. THANK YOU!
Thanks to everyone for coming out over the last two weeks and registering with KIC. Our three levels of classes are now FULL. We have a Waiting List if you would like to be contacted next Fall 2019 when we start back up again.
KICLDC is run by a 7 person volunteer executive body.
