In accordance with the motion made by our KIC Executive in February 2019, a donation of $1,000 EACH has now been made to "Brown Bagging for Calgary's Kids" and "Meals on Wheels".
KIC has now been informed that a donation of $400 has been made by the Catholic Women's League Association to the Alberta Children's Hospital under KICLDC's name. Our Club performed for their National Convention in Aug 2019 and they made this donation to show their appreciation for our performance, line dancing instruction given to their delegates and for the support we gave later throughout the evening.

I am thrilled to let everyone know that our Club surpassed themselves this September 2019 with donations of brand new socks for the homeless. We more than doubled our collection from last year. Our members were given a challenge that for every pair of socks they donated, the Club would donate $1 towards the purchase of more socks up to a maximum of $500. They did it and 754 pairs of socks were donated for men, women & children. A huge THANK YOU goes out to our generous members!
Don't miss this opportunity to sign up as a new Beginner for our brand new evening of classes to be held Thursdays - 6 to 7 PM. Classes will start September 5th and will be held at the Acadia Recreation Complex. For our special event dances (Halloween & Christmas) we will be inviting all of our members to join the entire Club for those dancing potluck parties on the Wednesday evenings. For more information please contact us (kiclinedanceclub@gmail.com).
KICLDC has now made a donation of $1,000 to the Calgary Counselling Centre and $1,000 to Heritage Park. These donations are possible due to our large membership and our Performance Team who volunteer at daily events throughout 2019 Calgary Stampede. Thanks to our Instructors, members and volunteers who make this all possible.
As President of KICLDC I am delighted to announce that today we have donated $1,000 in support of the Veterans Association Food Bank. KIC is able to make such a generous donation due to our very low session fee plus the nominal fee we charge to perform/entertain as well as the volunteerism of our members. It's a privilege to belong to such a generous Club along with our excellent four Instructors and of course we couldn't do it without the enthusiasm of our members.
At this time we have started a Waiting List for anyone interested in these classes. As we get closer to the first class of May 27th we sometimes have cancellations. If you are interested, then please email our Club and your name will be added. If there are any openings we will contact you as soon as possible.
Another option is to join our Club for our Fall Session which starts Wednesday, September 11th, 2019. KIC is able to make such a generous donation due to our very low session fee plus the nominal fee we charge to perform/entertain as well as the volunteerism of our members. It’s a privilege to belong to such a generous Club along with our excellent three Instructors and of course the enthusiasm of our members. KICLDC has received thank you's from our recent donations of $500 each to Meals on Wheels and Brown Bagging for Calgary's Kids. Take a moment to look at the two attachments to appreciate how much these two donations mean to these two wonderful organizations. The note from the Calgary Kids came in a very small brown lunch bag that was coloured by one of the children. Warms your heart. ♥ ♥
