Our Instructors

Lisa - Level 1
Lisa has a background in education with 15 years of experience as a classroom teacher. She discovered line dancing in grade 7 through a school residency program, where she joined the performance team and learned extra routines for a school event. That early experience sparked a lasting love of dance, and now she’s excited to share that passion with
others. Outside of teaching classes, Lisa enjoys spending time with her daughter and staying active at the gym.

Louise - Level 1
Louise has had a lifelong passion for dance, taking classes in tap, jazz, ballet and clogging. After her four children left the home and she became an empty nester, she returned to dance and took ballroom, two step and West Coast Swing lessons. She connected with fellow dancers who were part of the KIC group and was thrilled to become a member of this energetic
and supportive dance community. She loves to perform, having done so with different groups throughout the years, and looks forward to sharing her love of dance with others.
Gerry - Level 2
Gerry is a Co-Founder of KIC
and has been teaching for the club since it’s inception in 2012. She has been line dancing for over 30 years and did some part-time teaching during that time. She was an Administrative Assistant with the Calgary Board of Education for 35 years and her retirement plan is to line dance as much a possible for as long as possible!

Keri - Level 3
Keri grew up dancing ballet and jazz with a love of jazz dance winning over. She is a former Fitness Instructor and a lifelong adult dance student (Belly Dance/African). She rediscovered line dance in 2019 and found her latest passion! Keri was a teacher with the Calgary Board of Education teaching English/French and whenever she could convince the Principal, a Jazz Dance Option.

Tara - Level 3
As a child Tara had a background in Tap and Jazz. She continued her love of dance in Ballroom (U of C) and Country as a young adult. Teaching West Coast Swing, Two Step and Line Dance were among her favourites. She has been on several “couples” performance teams and is currently proud to be on a line dance team as a “Sole Sister”. In addition to dance, Tara
has been teaching Reiki since becoming a Reiki Master in 2000. Helping students to cultivate peace and clarity on their healing journey.
